Streaming radio
Additionally, it is now possible to stream Ancient Faith Radio's two stations to your iPhone by using a number of third-party application. Here, we use
Nullriver's Tuner as an example, but we're pleased to announce that other applications at lower cost (or free) are now available - just do a search in the iPhone App Store for "radio." This also works with the iPod Touch over Wi-Fi.
Here is a step by step walkthrough::
1. First, go the the "App Store" and search for "Tuner." Select "Tuner Internet Radio." You'll have to sign in to your iTunes account and pay $5.99 to install the program. (We expect that there will be free applications available in the future, but we couldn't find any yet.)
2. Click on the Tuner application and select "Genres," "Top 500," or "Search." Then, press the "Open" button in the top left hand corner.
3. In the "URL" section, enter one of the following:
- For the 128k Music stream: http://ancientfaith.com/streams/music128k.pls
- For the 24k Music stream: http://ancientfaith.com/streams/music24k.pls
- For the 64k Talk stream: http://ancientfaith.com/streams/talk64k.pls
- For the 24k Talk stream: http://ancientfaith.com/streams/talk24k.pls
We recommend the 24k streams if you are using EDGE, but the 128k Music stream and the 64k Talk stream should work well with wireless or G3.
It is not necessary to put anything in the "Title" since this will be automatically discovered.
4. Now that Ancient Faith Radio is playing, click the "Bookmark" icon in the top right-hand corner to save it for the future!
5. You can easily bookmark all of our stations for easy reference.
