“From My Youth” is a monthly, interview-based podcast. Each month, Andrew Boyd welcomes a new guest to provide resources for those working in youth, young adult, and campus ministry. The podcast will focus on practical ideas and information that will help people “in the field.” From experienced youth and campus ministry leaders sharing their experiences to psychologists offering advice and guidance on identifying and helping depression, a variety of useful skills will be showcased. This podcast will help equip clergy and lay people for ministry to youth and young adults.

A native of Connecticut, Andrew grew up in the faith as a member of Holy Transfiguration Church in New Haven, CT, and Saint Alexis Church in Clinton, CT. He attended the University of Connecticut, where he was an active member of the local chapter of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship and attended Holy Trinity Church in Willimantic, CT. After graduating in 2008, he worked as an intern at the headquarters of Syndesmos, the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, in Athens, Greece. After his return to the US in 2009, he entered the Master’s of Divinity Program at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, from which he graduated in 2012. He was appointed Director of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries for the Orthodox Church in America on July 1, 2012.
