St. Kosmas Aitolos on listening to advice.
Transcript
Do you hate it when people give you advice? Some of us would rather get hopelessly lost than stop and ask for directions. We do need, however, to be open to receiving guidance from others.
Here’s what St. Kosmas Aitolos says:
Grace may be hidden in advice given by a neighbor. Sometimes it also accompanies our understanding during reading, and as a natural result teaches our intellect the truth about itself. If, then, we do not hide the talent given to us in this way, we shall enter actively into the joy of the Lord.
So, the next time a friend gives you some unsolicited advice, think about it—it may be a source of grace.
"By listening to Ancient Faith Radio, we can listen to the hymns of the Church as we work or rest in our homes, and I can review the titles on the podcasts and interviews, and find edification and instruction on nearly any topic the Holy Spirit leads me to. Thank you for using your talents and gifts to provide such a wonderful forum for your listeners. Thanks be to God for your ministry."
