Society of Biblical Literature Interviews
April 2010
The Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) is the oldest and largest international scholarly membership organization in the field of biblical studies. Founded in 1880, the Society has grown to over 8,500 international members, including teachers, students, religious leaders, and individuals from all walks of life who share a mutual interest in the critical investigation of the Bible.
In November of 2009, Dr. Jeannie Constantinou, host of the AFR podcast Search the Scriptures, attended the annual meeting of the SBL in New Orleans, Louisiana, and brought along her microphone. Armed with questions from listeners, she interviewed several of the scholars in attendance about various aspects of Biblical interpretation. Following are the recordings of those interviews.
